Plot Summary

Dr. Banks is recruited by the U.S. military to help communicate with the aliens, called Heptapods. As she slowly decodes their circular, non-linear language, she begins to experience time differently, seeing flashes of her future — including a child she hasn’t had yet. This discovery forces her to make a heartbreaking decision: would you still live your life the same way if you knew how it ends?
