Plot Summary:
Blue Streak follows the story of Miles Logan, a skilled jewel thief who steals a $17 million diamond with his crew. During the heist, things go wrong, and the police close in. To avoid getting caught with the diamond, Miles hides it in the air vents of a building that’s under construction.
Two years later, Miles is released from prison and returns to retrieve the diamond—only to discover that the building has been completed and is now a police station.
In a desperate attempt to get the diamond back, Miles poses as a detective named "Detective Malone" and fakes his way into the LAPD. Surprisingly, his criminal skills make him appear to be an excellent (though unconventional) cop. He ends up solving cases and even gaining the respect of real detectives—particularly his new partner, Detective Carlson, who believes Miles is a genius.
As Miles tries to recover the diamond while keeping up the charade, his past catches up with him—rival criminals, FBI agents, and his old crew all come looking for answers. Chaos and comedy ensue as Miles tries to keep his cover and find the diamond.
