Story & Style
Renowned director Steven Kostanski (The Void, Psycho Goreman) is at the helm—also scripting the film—which promises to dive deeper into a gritty, fantasy realm filled with monsters and magic. Daniel Bernhardt stars as the titular Deathstalker, a battle-hardened warrior cursed by an enchanted amulet. Now hunted by a deadly clan of assassins and facing the return of an ancient sorcerer, he must fight to break the curse and save the realm of Abraxeon.
Cast & Creative Team
Joining Bernhardt are Patton Oswalt lending his voice to Doodad, a wise and benevolent wizard, along with Christina Orjalo, Paul Lazenby, and Nina Bergman in supporting roles. The film showcases Kostanski’s signature practical effects, including creature suits, prosthetic makeup, and stop-motion animation via his Action Pants FX studio.
Distribution Path
Shout! Studios has secured exclusive English-language distribution rights, with Raven Banner handling the Canadian release. The film is slated for a limited theatrical run across select markets.
What to Expect
This reboot seeks to elevate its low-budget predecessors with a more immersive fantasy world, narrative ambition, and spine-tingling practical effects. Audiences can look forward to intense swordplay, horrific monsters, and Kostanski’s imaginative visual style.
