Plot Summary:

The North Water is a gripping and brutal historical drama set in the Arctic during the 1850s. The series follows Patrick Sumner (Jack O’Connell), a disgraced former army surgeon who joins a whaling expedition to the Arctic aboard the ship The Volunteer, in an attempt to escape his troubled past.

The crew is a rough and dangerous group of men, and among them is Henry Drax (Colin Farrell), a harpooner with a violent, animalistic nature. Drax is not just a man hardened by the sea, but a remorseless killer with a disturbing sense of morality.
