Plot Overview: Old Friends, New Heists
Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) disappeared after the chaotic banks of Charlestown. Now presumed dead, he’s living undercover in Europe. Meanwhile, James "Jem" Coughlin (Jeremy Renner), now a legitimate businessman, returns to Charlestown when his nephew, Eli, is betrayed during a high‑stakes mechanical heist orchestrated by a new gang.
With his trusted protégé in danger, Jem reassembles Donnie, Gloansy, and Desmond to strike one last job: infiltrate and rob a heavily fortified Central Bank vault—this time targeting a corrupt finance syndicate preying on Boston's working class.
