Synopsis
Set in the 15th century, the film follows an elite group of Ottoman warriors known as the Deliler, who are sent on a dangerous mission to assassinate Vlad Tepes—infamously known as Vlad the Impaler. As they travel deep into hostile territory, they face gruesome enemies, political treachery, and their own personal demons. The film presents a brutal, action-heavy depiction of one of history’s most notorious figures, contrasting him with heroic Ottoman soldiers.
Character Portrayal
Vlad is portrayed as a sadistic and fanatical ruler, aligned with the Church and merciless in his methods. His characterization leans heavily into villainy, often exaggerated and theatrical. In contrast, the Ottoman warriors are shown as noble, disciplined, and diverse—featuring archetypes such as a winged warrior, a silent fighter, and a spiritual leader—adding a mythic flair to the story.
