Frank Richards, a former police chief in a small, quiet American town, is trying to enjoy a peaceful retirement while grappling with the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Despite his condition, he remains mentally sharp enough to notice when something isn’t right.

One night, Frank witnesses a brutal crime involving Virgil, a dangerous methamphetamine manufacturer trying to cover up his drug operation. Frank becomes the only witness who can testify against Virgil and link him to the murder and the meth business. Knowing this, Virgil becomes desperate and sets out to eliminate Frank before he can speak to the authorities.
